Q: Which products should I start with?
A: We always suggest that you begin with the Dynamite Basic Program for Horses, which includes the following:
- One of our general supplements (Dynamite, Dynamite Plus, or TNT)
- Pelleted Grain Ration (if you choose to feed grain)
- All 4 of the Free Choice Minerals (1 to 1, 2 to 1, Izmine and NTM Salt).
We also recommend feeding a good grass hay as the basic forage with a maximum of 10% alfalfa hay to balance the Calcium:Phosphorus ratio. This program provides solid nutrition and may be all that your horse needs to mainatin good health.
Q: Should I feed Dynamite, Dynamite Plus or TNT?
A: You will want to work closely with your distributor to decide which basic supplement to use. The following information should serve as a general guideline:
- Our orginal formula Dynamite is a great all-around formula for most horses.
- Dynamite Plus was formulated with a lower profile of vitamins and minerals than original Dynamite, but with added herbs and digestive enzymes.
- TNT, which is a combination of six Dynamite products.
Q: My horse has additional health needs, how do I know which products to add?
A: Once your horse has been on the basic program for at least 60 days*, you can assess whether additional nutrients are needed. Additional products should be added one at a time and you may want to adjust the amount of the basic program you feed as you add in other Dynamite products. Remember that less is more with Dynamite!
* It takes blood 120 days to regenerate, so results will continue beyond the 60 day period mentioned above.
To prevent any risk of cross-contamination, our mill is 100% urea-free, antibiotic-free, meat and bone meal free and insecticide-free. We use only natural preservatives (vitamin C and E).
